Academy I begins the preschool progression, concentrating on helping your child build intellectual, social, physical and emotional skills. Academy I is flexible with children's interests while preparing them for a more structured Academy II program. A large focus is placed on developing social skills such as sharing, teamwork, problem solving, and cooperation. This is integrated with beginning language, science, math and of course potty training, just to name a few. This classroom prepares your child for their first learning experiences and helps to set expectations for their schooling careers.

In Academy II the children continue to have opportunities to discover themselves as individuals and as members of a family and community. Offering a good balance between academic and play-based activities, we encourage independence and creativity. Centers stimulate interest in reading, writing, science, art, and math. Group and individual teacher instruction is also an essential part of the curriculum. As each theme progresses, math concepts, language experiences, and science principles are a large focus.

We incorporate a curriculum that will prepare your child for the best public or private schools in the area. While placing a great focus on the academic skills, we continue to maintain a developmentally appropriate early childhood environment. With the use of classroom instruction, peer learning, and off site field trips, we focus on subjects such as writing, phonetic language, vocabulary, social studies, introductory math, hands on experimental science, and character education.
